Stay nicely presented when travelling with the Swan Dual Voltage Travel Iron.
So today was very exciting, I have been using the Swan Dual Voltage Travel Iron (model no: SI3070N) over the past week and had today had to write my review, here’s what I thought:
Everybody needs to remove creases and wrinkles from their clothes and unless you pay a service to do this for you will need an iron. But what happens when you are travelling? You have unpacked your case and your clothes are now wrinkled from travelling. Swan have created a handy little travel iron just for the purpose.
On arrival I was surprised at home small and light the travel iron is. Weighing in at under 0.7kg (including cable and plug) it is small and light enough to easily fit in your luggage with taking up to much space or adding excess weight. It measures (H)17x(W)8.7x(D)9.6cm, has a 2 metre cord, 1100 watts and dual voltage (115v and 230v) so can be used in various locations around the world. It is also supplied with its own carrying pouch and measuring beaker.
It also has a stainless steel soleplate, steam surge function, variable steam control and a 100ml water capacity.
With its white, purple and grey colouring it also looks good.
Now that all sounds impressive but does it work? The simple answer is yes.
Before use check that the voltage switch on the bottom is set correctly (230v for UK), if it isn’t just slide the switch across. Lift the water tank cover on top and fill with water using the measuring jug. Select the temperature you require and plug into the mains.
Overall this is a great little travel iron. It is lightweight and fits in your hand very well. With the steamshot buttons either side they can be a be stiff to use (maybe these will loosen slightly once used a bit more). But most importantly it ironed smoothly and removed all creases from trousers and shirts.
So if you do a lot of travelling or just need a smaller iron I would have to recommend this. And the dual voltage makes it a true travel item. There is even a matching travel kettle that can be purchased to accompany it!

Disclosure: I was given a gifted sample for the purposes of writing a review. However the opinions expressed in this review are independent and my own.
I can’t get the button to move from no steam to steam.
I haven’t had any issues with it yet, but it is only used occassionly
