There are plenty of chores that we all have to do around the home and one such chore is washing our clothes – no one wants dirty, smelly clothes. Thankfully, lots of us have washing machines at home and we have a large choice when it comes to detergents. Laundry detergents come in liquid, powder and pods form which all come in bulky packaging, whether that is large cardboard boxes or plastic tubs – not very eco-friendly. In today’s world there is now a move to more eco-friendly products with less wastage. So when it comes to laundry products there is now a new player in town, GreenSheets from The Green Co. GreenSheets are dissolvable eco-friendly laundry detergent and fabric conditioner in sheet form, supplied in biodegradable pouches and are completely plastic-free, perfect for reducing household waste without sacrificing cleaning power.
The Green Co. GreenSheets are innovative dissolvable non-bio laundry detergent sheets and fabric conditioner sheets. No big bulky packaging, no plastic bottles and they are so easy to use, just open the biodegradable packet and throw a sheet in the washing machine.
These laundry detergent sheets are extremely eco-friendly and sustainable, highly concentrated and non-bio, making them a great choice for environmentally conscious consumers. They are certified vegan and GMO-free, ensuring that no animals were harmed in their production. They are available in 3 different fragrances; Fresh Linen, Lavender and Fragrance Free (these are perfect for people with sensitive skin). All fragrances are hypoallergenic approved. They are suitable for all wash cycles, hot, cold, woollens and delicates.
To use, simply pop a sheet out of the pack, pop it into the drum and then load the machine with your washing. Add one of the fabric conditioner sheets as well if required. These sheets work on all wash cycles, including hot, cold, woollens, and delicates. They are also suitable for handwashing, making them a versatile addition to your laundry arsenal. Wash on your normal cycle. No messing around scooping powder or pouring liquid as each sheet is already pre-measured with detergent / conditioner.
GreenSheets come in a slim, recyclable box that takes up minimal space in your cupboard or laundry room. Their lightweight design also makes them perfect for travel, allowing you to keep your clothes fresh and clean on the go. Say goodbye to bulky bottles and boxes.
But do they work? Yes they do. My clothes came out just as clean and soft as with my regular laundry detergent. My only niggle was that the fragrance wasn’t as noticeable as with my regular detergent and fabric conditioner and as many people would be accustomed to the strong, lingering fragrances it can be a bit of a shock – this is normal. GreenSheets have been made intentionally different. They are formulated with naturally derived essential oils to provide a gentle, subtle scent that won’t overpower or clash with perfumes or other products you might use.
The goal is to leave your laundry fresh and clean in a lighter, more natural way. This is especially important for those with sensitive skin, as strong synthetic fragrances can often be irritating. If you want to boost the smell some users like to a few drops of their favourite essential oils directly to their wash for an extra personal touch of fragrance.

Overall, GreenSheets are a great idea for those that are environmentally conscious. They do an excellent job of getting clothes clean. I found the fragrance to be not very noticeable, which will suit a lot of people, I’m probably just far too used to stronger smelling detergents (probably conditioned to associate this will being clean) but my clothes were perfectly clean and soft.
If just using the laundry detergent sheets, a wash load will cost from as little as 19p per wash to 24p per wash depending on what pack size you buy or if you take the subscribe and save option. The fabric conditioner costs from 12-16p per wash, again depending on purchase options. When using detergent and conditioner together a wash will cost from 31p to 40p, which compared to my regular items is slightly more expensive (mine currently work out as approx. 29p per wash), but that does include postage and is a much eco-friendlier alternative and still makes them very affordable. Although do note, if you live in hard water areas you may have to use 2 detergent sheets per wash (as advised by The Green Co.), so will increase the cost per wash.
GreenSheets by The Green Co. are a fantastic choice for anyone looking to simplify their laundry routine while supporting the planet. The sheets are eco-friendly, save lots of space in the cupboard with no bulky boxes or bottles, and are gentle on the skin.
If you’re ready to make a positive change in your laundry habits, give GreenSheets a try – you can try a 4 load sample pack for 95p per pack, it has to be worth a try. Your clothes, and the environment, will thank you!
