The Sold Secure Gold Folding Bike Lock from ROCKBROS is a high-security folding bike lock is suitable for use on bicycles, e-bikes, e-scooters, motorbikes and even on doors and gates. Manufactured using heat-treated high-strength alloy steel with approx. 9.5 mm thick links, it makes it strong, secure and cut-resistant. With stainless steel rivets it has long-lasting durability and corrosion resistance. It also features a protected keyhole cover that is waterproof and dustproof, protecting the cylinder from damage. It has a length of 104.5cm when unfolded, making it easy to secure bikes to a wide range of fixed objects.

The ROCKBROS Sold Secure Gold Folding Bike Lock is a compact bike lock that folds neatly into its own holder. It measures approximately 23cm (H) x 7.5cm (W) x 4cm (D) and weighs about 1.38kg. The holder itself attaches to the bike frame and comes with 2 methods to do so – you can screw it to the frame under the seat (screws are supplied) or use the 2 heavy duty plastic straps to fix it to the frame. The lock itself is held into the holder with a rubber strap that clips around onto the side. To use the lock is very simple – just undo the rubber strap, pull out the lock and undo it with the key (the keyhole is underneath a dust/waterproof cover that slides to open or close. With it unlocked the six 360° rotating arms unfold (to a total length of 104.5cm) and can be wrapped around gates, lampposts, bike wheel etc.
Security wise, the body of the lock is made of alloy steel with zinc-alloy cylinder and heat-treated folding links and stainless steel rivets making it extremely strong and cut-resistant (also protects against corrosion). It is a Sold Secure Approved Product, tested to the Dutch ART standard and awarded UK Sold Secure Gold (Level 18), offering trusted protection for bikes, e-bikes, motorcycles and more.
Overall, I found the ROCKBROS Sold Secure Gold Folding Bike Lock a quality, solid bike lock. It is extremely easy to mount to the bike frame and easy to remove to use it. The unfolding action is very smooth and the folding action allows it to secure your bike easily. While it is quite heavy, which offers some reassurance that it can’t be cut through easily, once on the bike it isn’t that noticeable. When riding, the lock is secure enough on the bike frame that I didn’t notice any rattling or movement.
With a retail price of £48.99, it isn’t cheap but it also isn’t expensive for a highly capable lock that is commuter‑friendly that combines strength, versatility and convenience. With its hardened steel construction, neat & compact folding design and independent security certification it’s reliable protection for cyclists. While no lock can ever guarantee absolute theft prevention, the ROCKBROS Sold Secure Gold Folding Bike Lock will significantly raise the barrier for would‑be thieves and provides peace of mind for cyclists who value both security and practicality.
