When it comes to challenge games there is a great deal of choice out there, everything from drawing pictures to energetic leaping games. Now when it comes to simple games, it doesn’t come any easier than drawing a line to match some shapes or build a card house with two cards – that is until your vision is flipped upside down! Those simple challenges then become a full-blown family challenge experience that is a lot harder than you think. I found that out recently when using the Flip Vision glasses challenge game from Wicked Uncle.
The Flip Vision glasses come with:

- 14x Mission Cards
- 1x Erasable Marker
Flip Vision is a challenge game for 2-6 players, age 5+. It comes with Mission Cards and Drawing Mission Cards, an erasable marker and a pair of Flip Vision glasses – you will need extra every day household equipment to play: pen, paper, coins, plastic cups and pillows. Each Mission card is worth 1 or 2 points and the player to score the highest number of points wins. You need to complete the challenges with your vision flipped upside down.
The Mission Cards feature simple tasks such as placing a plastic cup on the edge of a table and flicking it so it lands face down, unscrambling five letter words and connecting the shapes to their matching partner etc. All very straightforward and fairly simple challenges, that is until you put on the glasses and your perspective is flipped, the challenge then becomes a lot more difficult.
To play, all players sit around the table, each taking turns to draw a Mission Card from the deck. Players must complete the mission on the card while wearing the Flip Vision glasses. Each card has a score and the player to accumulate the highest score when all the cards have been used is the winner.
Overall, Flip Vision, on the surface, is a simple game with simple tasks to complete, once the Flip Vision glasses go on the tasks become much harder and you need to change your way of thinking to complete your goal – and it is so much fun.
The Missions are simple. Each card giving you details of the mission, what extra equipment you will need (pen, paper, cups etc.), time limit to complete the task in and any instructions on what to do. The missions are easy normally, but with the glasses on your vision is flipped on its head and you see everything in a new light. To complete your mission you really do need to put your physical and mental skills to the test and think in a different way. It turns a simple challenge game into a full-blown family challenge experience where hilarious chaos is supreme – the most basic tasks become unexpectedly difficult.
With the Flip Vision glasses, tasks you’d normally breeze through, such as drawing a shape, stacking items or simply giving someone a high‑five, become clumsy, unpredictable and often very funny. The glasses themselves are fairly lightweight while feeling sturdy enough for repeated use.
Flip Vision is a great game for family gatherings or game nights with friends. Kids will love the novelty and silliness, while adults often find themselves unexpectedly competitive as they try to master tasks that suddenly feel impossible.
While I have loved playing Flip Vision I wish it came with more Mission Cards to give a better variety of tasks and make the game play not so sameish each time. The only real downside that I had personally was that I couldn’t wear the glasses for too long as they would start to make me feel nauseous (I struggled wearing the glasses for the 90 seconds task – I was okay with all the others as they went up to 60 seconds).
Flip Vision is a highly entertaining game that forces you to look at things in a different way. The glasses are well‑made, easy to use and are a great novel idea to add something that bit different to your game nights. Whether you’re competing to pour water without spilling or trying to write your name legibly, these glasses guarantee laughter, frustration and unforgettable fun.
