The Crucifix Killer by Chris Carter Review

Crucifix Killer

“Cross your heart and hope to die. Quickly.” – The Crucifix Killer

Detective Robert Hunter and his new rookie partner, Carlos Garcia, are on the trail of a vicious and sadistic killer after finding the body of a young woman tied to wooden posts, naked and with the skin removed from her face. She had been abducted and tortured. On her neck is carved a strange symbol, a double-cross. The double-cross is the signature mark of serial killer known as The Crucifix Killer.

2 years previously The Crucifix Killer had been caught, convicted and executed after committing 7 brutal and horrific murders! As the strange double-cross marking was never made public was the wrong man caught and is the real killer back again!

A vicious killing spree is now underway with all the hallmarks of The Crucifix Killer and still no clues to who the killer could be. Hunter and Garcia are about to enter a new nightmare.

Overall, if, like me, you love books about serial killers, murder or just a good crime thriller then The Crucifix Killer is definitely one to read. Very well written and with the authors background in criminal psychology makes it a nerve-tingling, spine-chilling read.

I found it very hard to put down and read it in just over a day. With great characters and a great storyline it keeps you in suspense forcing you turn the pages and keep reading. When you can’t put a book down it shows the quality of the writing, the depth of the characters and the story.

The Crucifix Killer was Chris Carter’s debut novel (first published in 2009) and it is excellent, I will be looking for other books written by him, I just wish I came across this book sooner!

Definitely a thriller I would highly recommend reading.
