Overall, I think the Pepper the Penguin tablet cushion stand is great. It holds my tablet safely and securely and I am no longer propping it up against other things. If the desk or table gets knocked it doesn’t fall or slide down like it did before using the cushion. Whilst it does an excellent and sturdy job of holding my tablet, when the tablet isn’t on it, it also looks great as a bean bag cushion in the room.
The cushion comes in its own bag with string tie cord and is printed with soy based inks, there is absolutely no plastic used in any packaging. The cardboard tag gives some details about the animal character and what you can do to help with climate change, conservation and to help protect the animals and the planet.
The cushion itself is very soft and is wipe clean 100% polyester in vibrant child-friendly colours with your chosen animal character. The cushion features two discreet pockets where you can store a phone, earphones, charger of even a portable powerbank and anything else small. It even has a snap clip hook so that kids can clip it on to a backpack and take it with them.
Using the cushion is simple. As it is a bean bag, you just place your tablet on it in landscape or portrait position and adjust the bean bag according. The cushion feels quite sturdy and secure and does an excellent job of holding a tablet, your phone or even a book, leaving your hands free and the device at a more comfortable eye level. No more hunching over a screen.
As part of their eco-friendly credentials, Planet Buddies have also partnered with World Land Trust and Marine Conservation Society whereby a proportion of revenue from each sale is donated to each charity respectively to support their various projects.
Overall, I think that the Planet Buddies tablet cushion stand is an excellent simple and effective way to use a tablet or phone for playing games and watching videos. The fun and funky character designs and their stories helps raise awareness of environmental issues in a simple child-friendly way.
Using the cushion raises a device to a better eye level so that you are not hunched over looking down at a screen, it also means you aren’t always be holding a tablet in your hands taking the pressure off your wrists and hands and it looks cool. It doesn’t even have to be used for just phones or tablets either, it can be used as a cushion for holding a book when reading or even in the kitchen to prop up a recipe book whist cooking.
