Wicked Uncle Fart Machine Review

Wicked Uncle Fart Machine

Children have always loved to pull jokes and pranks (I know I did) and relish in the art of harmless mischief. When I was growing up it was whoopee cushions and squirting flowers, which today they have been replaced with electronic fart machines and selfie phone squirters. These are harmless pranks that offer more than just a quick, soon to be forgotten giggle, they are a great way for kids to express their creativity while bonding with family and friends through shared laughter. It doesn’t matter whether you are sneaking a plastic spider into a sibling’s shoe, pretending to sneeze confetti or pull a coin from a child’s ear, these playful antics are a rite of passage for all children. And when it comes to classic pranks, few things rival the universal hilarity of a well-timed fart noise, which can happily be recreated with the Wicked Uncle Fart Machine.

Wicked Uncle’s Fart Machine is a pocket-sized gadget (measures 8.5x5x2cm) designed to turn any dull and quiet moment into a symphony of silliness, and possibly embarrassing noises. Featuring nine different trumpeting sound effects and a compact design that fits snugly in a child’s hand (or pocket), this little device is a young prankster’s dream come true.

The Wicked Uncle Fart Machine is unapologetically silly, and that’s precisely its charm, and will be what’s makes children (aged 4 to 10) love it. This compact soundbox delivers nine distinct fart sounds (each with its own button to press), ranging from the classic “windy whoosh” to the more dramatic “gurgling growler.” Each sound is high-quality and surprisingly realistic, making it perfect for pranking unsuspecting parents, siblings or even teachers (although be very careful to get the right teacher or you might just get a detention). It does require 3xAAA batteries (which are not supplied).

The Wicked Uncle Fart Machine is a brilliant blend of childish humour and cheeky sounds (pun intended). It encourages harmless play that will spark laughter and gives kids an outlet for their cheeky side. Whether used to lighten the mood at a party or sneakily deployed during a car ride, it’s guaranteed to bring smiles (and probably a few groans). For young pranksters and giggle-loving families, this toy is lots of harmless fun.

It is very easy to use. This small brown box has a built-in speaker and is equipped with nine yellow buttons – just push the button required for the fart sound that you think suits the situation the best – simple enough for even the youngest prankster. It’s small enough to slip into a pocket or even your pencil case.

As for the sounds, there are nine of them, each very different, and the sound quality is very good. Kids can happily cycle through them to find their favourite and funniest, whether it’s a stealthy one or a thunderous room-clearer. The laughter this toy generates is infectious. It’s not just about the noise, it’s about the reactions it creates. Watching a grandparent jump or a friend burst into giggles is half the fun.

The Fart Machine is a fun novelty gift that kids will have plenty of fun and laughter with. I do think at £12.99 it’s probably a tad expensive (for that price I would probably expect it to have a USB rechargeable battery), but it does make a great stocking filler, birthday surprise or even a cheeky reward for good behaviour (although would that good behaviour be ruined by pranking people with fart sounds?).

While the Fart Machine is designed for fun pranking, it does come with a gentle warning: “Please prank responsibly.” Parents may want to set boundaries, like no farting during dinner, in the middle of story time and definitely not during school lessons. With a few boundaries and a little guidance, this toy can be a hilarious way to teach timing, empathy and the art of the joke.
