When I was growing, and until not that long ago really, if I wanted to listen to music whilst out and about I had to use earbuds that had a wire. The wire on these were either too short so that you ended up pulling an earbud out of your ear or too long so that the cable was always getting tangled up in your sleeve or around your arm and eventually pulling out the earbud. Now there are plenty of wireless earbuds on the market and Dudios kindly sent me a pair of their Shuttle True Wireless Earbuds V5.0 to review.
By stating the obvious, the Dudios Shuttle True Wireless Earbuds are a set of wireless buds to go in the ear for listening to music, listening to your favourite streaming show or film, watching YouTube and even used for taking hands free phone calls (when connected to your phone).
The Dudios Shuttle feature:
- Bluetooth v5.0
- HiFi Stereo Sound
- Integrated microphone
- Smart Touch Control
- 24 hours playtime
- 4 hours charge
- Smart Pairing & Ultra-Stable Connection
- IPX5 Technology (Light water / sweat resistant)
- Charging Case
The Dudios Shuttle Earbuds come supplied in their own mini charging case (650 mah). I love the ability to charge the earbuds from the case when out and about. Both earbuds fit neatly and securely into the case. A fully charged case (using micro USB) gives 5 full charges to the earbuds. When they earbuds are placed inside of the case they will automatically start charging. The case takes around 2.5 hours to fully charge and the earbuds will charge directly from the box in around 4 hours. A full charge of the earbuds will give up to 24 hours of playback time.
The earbuds themselves are really lightweight and comfortable. They come with 3 different sized ear tips so that you can find the best and most comfortable fit when putting the earbuds into your ear canal. To insert into your ear you just push them in and turn them until you get the best fit. They have a 24 hour playback time from a 4 hour charge so will last all day before needing a recharge (which can be conveniently done from the charging case – no looking for a power outlet).
There is no fuss with pairing. They do not have to be individually paired to your phone or tablet. Once removed from the charging case they will power on and pair together. You then just turn on the Bluetooth on your phone or tablet and pair that to the Dudios connection. Very simple and straightforward.
The earbuds have crystal clear sound and a noise cancellation microphone, both of which seem to have no latency issues. The earbuds are rated IPX5 so they are protected against light rain and are sweatproof, so there are no issues if you are using them whilst exercising. They also have neat touch controls on the side of earbud, these allow you to answer or hang up calls, play/pause/skip tracks or activate the voice assistant – all with light taps.
For me, earbuds must be lightweight and a comfortable fit in my ear and the Dudios Shuttle achieve both of these. They are also very easy to use as they pair together straight out of the charging box and the touch control on both buds are simple and effective. The sound for listening to music or videos is very good, as it is quality of the sound and microphone when making/receiving calls.
If you are looking for a pair of comfortable wireless earbuds that are easy to pair, have good quality sound and fuss-free pairing then I can recommend the Dudios Shuttle. They are light, sound good and have excellent playback and charge times.
