From Barcelona, to Munich, to Budapest, to Amsterdam; nothing beats a European stag weekend. You and your best buddies get the chance to explore a new city. You have a weekend full of freedom. You can explore the sites by day and party by night. What’s not to love? Nonetheless, you do need to make sure you take care of yourself whilst away. Nobody wants to end up spending their holiday in a hospital bed or having to have a few days off work when they get back because their body has taken too much of a battering. Keep reading to discover some key tips for healthy travel and partying.

Drink plenty of water

The likelihood is you will be drinking a lot of alcohol whilst on your trip, so you need lots of water! The likelihood is you will be going to a warm destination, so you need lots of water! This is one of the oldest and most important tricks in the book yet so many people think they can live without it. Don’t make this mistake. A bottle of water here and there can make a huge difference. You will keep your body feeling fresh and you will minimise your chances of getting a hangover.

Pack savvy

Don’t leave packing until the last moment. Make a list of all of the things you need so you don’t forget any medication or important creams. Buy a high-quality toiletry bag and fill it with all of the things you need so you can stay healthy while you are on your party weekend abroad.

Be active

A stag do presents you with the perfect chance to be active, which is something most men enjoy anyway. There are lots of fun-filled activities which present you with this opportunity. From skiing, to surfing, to abseiling, to canoeing; the choices are endless. In fact, you will be having so much fun you won’t even realise you are keeping fit whilst away. In addition to this, there are some places – such as Amsterdam – whereby the culture is to cycle everywhere. Take advantage of this. You will really get a feel for the way the people live if you go for this option as well.

Don’t just eat junk

You are going to need your energy and thus it is important to ensure you eat well. Don’t just head to the nearest fast food restaurant every evening. Instead, why not try out one of the local restaurants in the city you are visiting? This will be a lot more fun as well. You get to taste traditional cooking and get a flavour for the culture – something everyone should do when they are visiting a new location.

Relax

It doesn’t have to be go, go, and go! Take the time to relax too. Why not spend the day chilling on the beach? Or why not laze by the hotel pool? Remember; it is not every day you get to go away on vacation. You have the opportunity to be completely away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. All your stresses and worries are cast aside. Let your mind relax and allow your body to rejuvenate. You will seriously thank yourself once you get home.

If you take these five points into account then you have the recipe to a happy stag vacation and a healthy one too. These tips will ensure that whilst you enjoy your time to the maximum you also feel good as well. This is something which most people don’t tend to do. They have a great time but they pay for it. Well, if you follow this advice then you certainly won’t come home with that dreaded holiday hangover; that is for sure.
