ttec PowerStones Trio Universal Mobile Chargers Review

PowerStones

Do you carry a mobile phone, tablet or other portable device around with you? Let’s face it, most people have a phone. Do you ever find that the battery needs topping up whilst you are out? Or worse still, dies completely? So what do you do? Do you carry a charger with you and hope to find a power socket, or maybe find a McDonald’s, or even a shopping centre locker that offers wireless charging? That can be a pain and takes time out of your busy day. There have been times when I have depleted my phone’s battery, and have had to wait until I get home to charge it. So when I received the ttec PowerStones Trio Universal Mobile Chargers I was delighted, hopefully no more running out of battery.

The PowerStones Trio is a portable and wireless dual charging station. It consists of a dual charging dock and two wireless and portable 5,000 mAh, 2.1A “PowerStones” or batteries if you prefer. The PowerStones enable you to charge your devices on the go – one device on each PowerStone.

The two PowerStones can be put in to the charging dock together and charge simultaneously or you can just charge one while using the other. One feature on the charging that I think is excellent is when you are inserting the PowerStones into the dock there is a small magnetic pull, pulling the battery into the socket. This means that you shouldn’t be able to damage the charging port when plugging/unplugging them and you always know they are correctly docked.

A full charge takes approx. four hours to complete and you can gauge the battery level on each PowerStone with the 4 bar LED strip on the front of each (i.e. one lit LED means 25% or less battery power remaining). You can also charge each PowerStone without the charging dock as each one has a Micro USB port for power in so you can plug in a normal phone charger.

The PowerStones are surge protected and feature automatic cut-off when the batteries are fully charged (please note: the LEDs will remain lit while still in charger). The PowerStones Trio Universal Mobile Powerbank is compatible with all mobile phones and many other mobile devices.

Overall, I absolutely love this gadget. The PowerStones are light enough to carry with you, you can charge one while using another or charge both together. Depending on what device you are using you will get at least two full charges out of each of the PowerStones (more on older devices like an iPhone 6 as I was using. I did also use them with my Samsung Note 9 and Galaxy Tab).

The PowerStones are also light enough to charge your phone while using your phone or tablet. They make charging while out and about extremely easily.

If all that wasn’t enough, the PowerStones and the charging dock look very stylish with their light grey colouring. The are quite small and unobtrusive but pack a lot of power. The charging dock does not come with a power adapter so you will either plug it into a laptop/PC or use a Micro USB charger (you would have one supplied with a phone and probably have a few knocking around at home – I know I do). Also, there is only one USB cable supplied so if you want to use both PowerStones at once, you will need to buy another cable for the device that you want to use it with. They even come with a 3-year warranty.

For anyone who owns a mobile phone, tablet or any other portable device the ttec PowerStones Trio Universal Mobile Chargers would make an excellent Christmas gift.
