Progress BW04937 Forged Aluminium Non Stick 28cm Frying Pan Review

Frying Pan

Having recently moved to a new house I found it to be very expensive task, especially as I decided to just throw away old a lot of old things and buy new. Some of the things I decided to buy were pots and pans for the kitchen and I wrongly believed that these things were as good as each other as they just heat food, so I bought a cheap set. After a few uses the frying pan is losing its non-stick coating and the handle is coming loos, and on top of that the pan is really light and moves on the cooker rings. So when asked to review the Progress BW04937 Forged Aluminium Non Stick 28cm Frying Pan I, of course, said yes to see if there is really any difference.

The Progress BW04937 Forged Aluminium Non Stick 28cm Frying Pan is available in black, purple, red and teal (just the handle is coloured). I received mine in black.

The frying pan is a made of forged aluminium, measures 28cm pan, approx. 5cm deep and weighs approx. 921g, so has a very good weight to it (not too light or too heavy). It has a non-stick coating and It has a stainless steel flameguard and induction base along with a thermoplastic soft-touch rubber handle for ultimate comfort and safety (it does feel very comfortable to hold). The frying pan also comes with a 10-year guarantee (doesn’t cover wear and tear or misuse causing scratches or damage).

So after a week of using the pan I am very impressed and found that not all pans are the same – there really is no economic value in buying cheap ones as they don’t last, so it is worth paying out that bit extra for quality cookware and it will last longer and is much better quality.

Everything I have cooked in this pan has cooked evenly and hasn’t stuck to the pan. The non-stick coating is not coming away like on my cheap and the handle has stayed put. The pan also cleans very easily in soapy water.

Overall, I found this to be a great, excellent quality frying pan. I would definitely recommend buying a better quality pan and the Progress pan is perfect and not overpriced – it has an RRP of £30 but can be found on Amazon for under £20, which on my experience you would spend more on cheap pans over the life of a better quality one so is definitely worth the investment.

The Progress BW04937 Frying Pan is excellent quality and value for money.
