Eye-Catching Additions For Your Garden

Eye-Catching

Have you caught any garden design programmes on TV of late or are you a fan of scrolling through fantasy backyards on Pinterest or Instagram? If your garden isn’t quite worthy of thousands of pins or likes at the moment, you don’t have to give up your dream of creating a stylish outdoor space. Here are some eye-catching additions to consider for your garden.

Seating and socialising

Although the British summer is somewhat unreliable and we haven’t had much in the way of sunshine over the last few months, that doesn’t usually dampen our spirits, and most of us love to spend as much time in the garden as possible. It may be getting darker earlier, but there’s still plenty of time to grab a drink as evening falls and chill out in the great outdoors when you get home from work. If you like to have friends over or you enjoy relaxing with a good book at the weekends, it’s a great idea to add a seating area. If you don’t already have a table and chairs, now is a great time to buy, as many stores are on sale. If you don’t love the conventional wooden styles or you don’t have space for a dining set, there are loads of other options you could consider. Go retro with deck chairs, rustic with hammocks or ultra-modern with pods or egg chairs. You can also cater for visitors and create a cosy, laid-back vibe with floor cushions and bean bags. Finish off the look with strings of hanging solar-powered bulbs or oversized lanterns.

A hot tub

Nothing screams outdoor fun like a hot tub. If you’ve got a hot tub, you can get your friends over at the weekend, put some music on, and get the barbeque going or you can simply unwind and relax at the end of a busy day at work. To make your tub an attractive focal point, put down some decking with a balustrade and if you have room, add a couple of sun loungers or director’s chairs. If you’re worried about not getting enough use out of your hot tub as a result of the weather, consider buying a gazebo or fitting a retractable awning over the patio or decked area.

Water features

Water features add a touch of class to any garden, and they can also make your outdoor space unique. You can choose from contemporary styles like wall-mounted waterfalls with glass bricks or marble panels, go for something more romantic and classic like a statue or opt for a rustic lily pond. Have a look online for ideas and inspiration and think about the kinds of features that would fit in with the vibe and style of your garden.

Do you wish your garden was a little more eye-catching and alluring? Whether you’re eager to create a tranquil outdoor retreat or a party venue, there are plenty of things you can do to transform the space. Be creative and imaginative, take advantage of the space and celebrate your own individual style.
