Demons Walk Among Us is truly horrific and gory and well worth a read!
If you like horror novels that are horrific and with none of the gory details spared then I can recommend reading a Mark Steen novel and Demons Walk Among Us will keep you enthralled.
Jamie Samuels is serving in Afghanistan when he and his unit are ambushed, brutally attacked leaving him paralysed from the waist down and confined to a wheelchair. Life as he knows it is over. Unable to fully adjust to his situation, when a stranger offers him a lifeline he signs a lifelong binding contract and begins his descent into Hell!
Jamie realises too late that he has signed a deal with the Devil and he has to fulfil the terms of his contract which sees a demon rent out his body for 24 hours every so often, but these demons carry out the most horrific acts of murder in order to collect souls. Jamie cannot terminate the contract and cannot refuse to honour it or his family will suffer.
Demons Walk Among Us starts with a brutal torture and murder in gory detail and sets the tone for the rest of the story. Packed with some great characters and plot twists, it is well told and very hard to put down especially the gory scenes that make it a true horror rather than hinting about atrocities committed by demons.
A very entertaining, truly horrific and gory story. This is the second novel I have read my Mark Steen and am looking forward to reading more as his ability for writing gore is brilliant.
If you have never read anything by Mark Steen Demons Walk Among Us is definitely worth the £1.99 for the Kindle version.
